UPĀYA SCHOOL OF YOGA
208-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
At Upāya, we believe yoga is a holistic path of self-understanding, transformation, and deep remembering (pratyabhijna). This training is for anyone ready to explore the rich terrain of yoga’s roots and to grow their practice from within.
Our Purpose
We created this training to share the full spectrum of the yoga tradition, not just techniques, but the wisdom and philosophy that help dissolve the inner obstacles that block us from our natural radiance. Whether you’re called to teach or want to deepen your practice, this journey is about cultivating the tools to embody your path with authenticity, clarity, and heart.
What Makes Our Training Unique
Many trainings focus primarily on the mechanics of teaching. While those are important, we begin with the understanding that true teaching arises from lived experience. Our approach emphasizes:
Embodiment of the teachings through personal practice and reflection
A comprehensive dive into yoga’s roots, including Tantra, Ayurveda, and subtle body systems
Skillful means (Upāya) — practical tools for both self-inquiry and teaching
Honoring your voice and what it truly means to share yoga authentically
This is a space for honest inquiry, direct experience, and connection.

Ayurveda and the rhythms of nature
Prana, chakras, and the subtle body
Asana foundations and alignment

Part Two: Teaching Skills + Practice Development
Winter 2026 | Weekends + Wednesday evenings (online)
The second half of the training builds on the philosophical and energetic foundations explored in Part One, guiding you to apply what you've learned through practice, self-inquiry, and teaching. You’ll Learn To:
Translate philosophical teachings into embodied, accessible practice to guide yourself and others
Sequence classes that support specific outcomes (physical/anatomical, energetic, or emotional)
Teach with clarity, confidence, and presence

Rebekah Boatrite
LEAD FACILITATOR | E-RYT500
Rebekah was introduced to yoga and meditation as an anxious, introverted high schooler but wasn’t initially hooked. Rather, her love for the practice grew steadily with time and consistency, which eventually led her to pursue teacher training in 2016.
After completing her first 200-hour training in alignment-based yoga in North Carolina, she moved to Colorado to continue her education with an internationally recognized school based in the Anusara methodology. With her teacher, she completed an additional 200-hour training (2018), 500-hour training (2017-2019), and assisted internationally at workshops, festivals, and 200/300-hour teacher trainings.
Now, as a self-proclaimed “yoga mutt,” Rebekah’s commitment to learning and her insatiable curiosity continues to inform her own practice and serves as the foundation for her teaching.
Her philosophical lineage is based on the traditions of Trika (Kashmir Shaivism) and SriVidya (Auspicious Wisdom). As life affirming philosophies they see embodiment not as a problem to be solved, but a gift to be recognized.
